wildernessThe National Association of Therapeutic Wilderness Camping was established with the purpose to under gird the direct care wilderness staff with opportunities for certification and continuing education. NATWC also works to educate the public and promote the existence of wilderness therapy for at-risk adolescents. The NATWC Board of Directors is comprised of industry professionals who are dedicated to support the front line staff; promote certification and education; and positively influence the therapeutic industry.

Holly D. Hunter, Owner of SafePassage Adolescent Services serves on the volunteer Board of Directors for NATWC. Hunter is able to lend her expertice as a business owner, private investigator and from her many years of experience in working directly with families in a crisis setting and successfully transporting at-risk adolescents to therapeutic schools and wilderness programs, some of which have membership with NATWC. Presently Hunter is serving on the 2009 NATWC Conference Committee which is bringing Dr. Elizabeth Kohlstaedt, Intermountain, Helena, MT and a host of other guest presenters to Jekyll Island in September.
